Denmark's Chinah started impressing us from the get-go with their excellent debut single, 'Away From Me', pushing all of the right retro R&B buttons. Their second dreamy, ice-ool track, 'We Go Back', went down just as well. Now, the Copenhagen trio have scored a perfect hattrick, thanks to 'Minds'. While Chinah's sonic tricks aren't necessarily the most groundbreaking, there's something utterly enchanting about the crispness and clarity of Fine Glindvad's contemporary soul croon and the way it lilts in perfection synchronisation with her band's scattershot drum machines and pleading synth riffs. 'Minds' might just be our pick of the litter in fact. Look out for these guys next year when we're expecting a full EP, at the very least. - DC
